Caring is at the heart of everything we do.

About Education and Research

Education and Research are key activities within Northern Ireland Hospice.

Our experienced multidisciplinary education and specialist clinical team offer a varied programme which provides a range of high quality learning opportunities in the form of study days, workshops and certificate courses. The education provided meets the needs of those involved in providing palliative and end of life care, and ensures the delivery of good quality person centred care.

In addition, bespoke packages are available to meet health professionals' educational needs aligned with the strategic direction of palliative and end of life care. If you would like us to provide customised training to staff within your setting, or help you develop your own in-service training packages on palliative or end of life care, we are able to create tailor made courses to suit your needs.

Following the establishment and launch of Northern Ireland Hospice 'Learning Matters' e-learning, we now have the potential to reach an online learning community with the provision of further education and research opportunities, and the prospect of sharing online learning resources to support our programmes.

Our courses are delivered in state-of-the-art facilities at Northern Ireland Hospice's new Education and Research Centre at Somerton Road, Belfast.
