A 20-strong team from one of Northern Ireland's leading software companies, Openwave Mobility, has 'gone the extra mile' for Northern Ireland Hospice. So far the team has raised £3,652 for the buy a brick campaign to help rebuild the Adult Hospice at Somerton. The full cost of the redevelopment scheme to deliver a new, bespoke hospice on the Somerton site is £11 million. Funds will be secured from a number of streams but £3 million is needed from public donations to meet the overall target.
Departing from Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club, the charity cycle saw team members tackle a 100km course covering Dunmurry, Lisburn, Lurgan, Crumlin and Nutt's Corner and a shorter 50km return route to Moira. Well done to everyone involved!
