Rathcoole Service Station recently celebrated two years in business with a popular petrol price promotion. From early morning until 11pm on December 6, it was all hands to the pumps as enthusiastic staff members welcomed customers to the forecourt and encouraged patrons to add a few pennies and pounds to collection buckets for the local Children’s Hospice.

Gemma McCallan, Community Fundraiser for Horizon West Children’s Hospice, receives a cheque for £2,500 from W.Bro.Samuel Gallagher (Masonic Lodge 547 Newtownstewart) and other members.

The Masonic Lodge in Newtownstewart has raised £2,500 for Horizon West Children’s Hospice in Killadeas. This generous donation is the proceeds from a golf classic event held at Newtownstewart Golf Club in response to the appeal from Provincial Grand Lodge to all Lodges in Tyrone & Fermanagh.

Local police are hoping to see a decrease in criminal activity after a number of arrest warrants were issued for some of Belfast’s most notorious criminals. An array of local celebrities and business professionals are to be locked up in Belfast’s Crumlin Road Gaol later this month for committing the most bizarre crimes. From jewel theft to plagiarism, the culprits will face life behind bars unless a bail of £3,000 is raised for their release; but it’s all in support of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
