Kindness Counts 2024

  • In your school!

Celebrate World Kindness Day with us on 13th November 2024!

Whether it is a kind word, a warm hug, or joining like-minded people in a movement for change, children want something that is empowering, positive and uplifting, that shows them simple ways in which they can make a difference.

That’s where Kindness Counts comes in!

We want to teach pupils how little acts of kindness in the community make a big difference and we'd love your school to be involved!

Join the Kindness Movement

Kindness Counts is a free campaign designed to promote the values of kindness and compassion in your classroom through engaging resources tailored to different age groups.

Simply, sign your school up and your school will receive:

  • Tailored educational resources: Lesson plans, age-based worksheets, and engaging activities focused on kindness and compassion.
  • Alignment with curriculum: These resources directly address Personal Development, Mutual Understanding, and Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities Framework.

Bonus Opportunity (First 60 Schools):

The first 60 schools to register will receive a free training session for two teachers on the subject of bereavement, led by our Social Work Team.

Training Sessions:

  • Dates:27th August & 25th September (1PM - 3:30 PM)
  • Location: PCLA Building Somerton House

In return, all we ask is that your school host a fundraising activity on or around World Kindness Day - to help support local babies, children and adults who depend on our specialist care.

Become 'Kindness Ambassadors' for Hospice!

On completing the course, your pupils can commit to continuing the spirit of the campaign by becoming a ‘Kindness Ambassador’ and will receive a personalised certificate and ‘Kindness Counts’ sticker or pin badge to mark this incredible achievement.

What are you waiting for! Sign your school up today and help us continue to be there for our patients and their families when they need it most.
