Over 300 people from across Northern Ireland and beyond stepped out virtually with family and friends on Sunday 18th April to celebrate 40 years of the Hospice Walk.

The annual campaign, which has become a much-loved event in many supporters calendars, saw families and friends explore some of Northern Ireland’s finest beauty spots, including Cuilcagh Boardwalk, Cavehill Country Part, and more.

Mary McCall, Director at Hospice, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with the amazing turnout out at this year’s Hospice Walk with families seeing the event as a unique opportunity to walk in memory or in support of their special loved ones.

"Events like the Hospice Walk are vital in helping to support the overall running costs of the Hospice, which totals £16m. The majority of our income comes from the generosity of the local community across Northern Ireland and we are continually humbled by the support that we receive and grateful for every single donation.

"We have seen the demand for our specialist service increase over the last year, and with the donations raised from this year’s Hospice Walk, we can continue to be there for families when they need us most".
