SUPER SIT-UP CHALLENGE FOR NI CHILDREN’S HOSPICE RAISES £1327
Fighting Fit Martial Arts and Fitness Centre are delighted to announce that their super sit-up challenge for NI Children’s Hospice raised a total of £1327.
Taking place throughout the month of October members of the centre, located in Millar Street, Belfast, completed 3,000 sit-ups in just 30 days to raise vital funds for the local children’s charity.
Speaking at the start of their challenge, Adult Instructor, Richard Corvan said; “We were delighted to be able to hand over £1327 to the Children’s Hospice. We wanted to do something different and that’s when we came up with idea of the sponsored sit-up challenge. We would like to thank all our members who took part and helped us to raise this fantastic amount”.
Jenay Doyle, Community Fundraiser for NI Children’s Hospice added; “We would like to thank everyone who got involved in this special sit-up challenge and raised funds for the Children’s Hospice. Every pound raised will make a huge difference to the special children and their families that we care for”.
Established in 1996, Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is the only dedicated palliative care service in the province and the only organisation that can offer high level support to life limited children with very complex needs who require 24 hour specialist care. Every year, NI Children’s Hospice cares for around 300 life-limited children and young people, and their families living in Northern Ireland who need care that only the Children’s Hospice can provide.
