Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice will benefit from an exciting new charity partnership between the Together for Short Lives charity and M&S Food.
The partnership is set to make a lasting difference to the UK’s most vulnerable and seriously ill children by raising money for the 54 children’s hospices, including Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, that deliver lifeline care in the communities where M&S staff and customers live and work.
The aim is to raise a whopping £1million!
The initiative launched during Children’s Hospice Week (June 22-28) is also backed by music mogul Simon Cowell and will raise vital funds for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice to help us continue to provide vital care services for more than 370 families here every year.
Children’s Hospice Week is especially poignant this year, with Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice going above and beyond to both take the pressure off the NHS during the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as delivering care and engaging without families.
Heather Weir, CEO, Northern Ireland Hospice said: “This has been a particularly tough period on our families and our staff. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented us with many challenges, including how we normally fundraise to support the vital care services we provide.
“This type of support from M&S Food could not have been better timed and I hope people in Northern Ireland really get behind it. We need your support now, more than ever.”
Stuart Machin, CEO M&S Food: “I am incredibly proud to be joining forces with Together for Short Lives and welcoming them on board on as our new charity partner for M&S Food. The work that they do to support families is truly inspirational.”
As we make strides toward a return to the day-to-day lives we were used to before COVID-19, M&S Food will gradually unveil fundraising its initiatives.
However, Northern Ireland M&S Food customers who hold a Sparks card can now make donations at point of purchase.
