Olympic Champion Hannah Scott Visits NI Hospice
We were delighted to welcome Olympic gold medalist Hannah Scott to our Adult Hospice Inpatient Unit (IPU) earlier this month.
Hannah, originally from Coleraine, made headlines with her incredible last-second victory in the quadruple sculls at the Paris Olympics. We were thrilled when she accepted our invitation, extended by Hospice’s Special Activities Committee, to visit and bring some Olympic spirit to our hospice community. The event was coordinated by our Communications team.
Upon arrival, Hannah was greeted by Acting Chief Executive Trevor McCartney and Olivia Johnston, our new Head of Corporate Communications. She then enjoyed a tour of the IPU, guided by Ward Manager Faye Townley and Gemma Aspinall, Head and Acting Director of Adult Hospice Services.
Dressed in her official Olympic tracksuit and proudly showing her impressive gold medal, Hannah generously spent time with our patients, staff, and volunteers. She shared her inspiring story, spreading joy and positivity throughout the hospice. Her genuine interest in our work and her uplifting presence made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
We are incredibly grateful to Hannah for her time and kindness, and for making the day so special for everyone at NI Hospice.
Thank you, Hannah!
