Q Radio revealed as official media sponsor for Northern Ireland Children's Hospice Jingle Campaign
Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice has announced Q Radio as the official media sponsor for its annual Jingle All the Way festive fundraising campaign.
Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice has announced Q Radio as the official media sponsor for its annual Jingle All the Way festive fundraising campaign.
The ambitious campaign, now in its third year, aims to raise £500,000 and the Children’s Hospice is calling on businesses, organisations, schools, clubs, churches and individuals to host festive-themed fundraising events in the run up to Christmas to help give the gift of care to local children and their families.
Various Jingle events have already been planned across the province, including Jingle Jumper Days, Purple Santa Hat Days, Jingle Coffee Mornings, Jingle Bake Offs and the popular Jingle 5K/10K at Stormont Estate on Sunday 8th December.
Katie Pollock, Head of Fundraising at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, said: We are absolutely delighted that Q Radio has come on board to support our 2019 festive fundraising efforts. NI Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to over 300 life-limited children and their families every year, and needs to raise £11million annually to sustain these services which is why any support for campaigns such as ‘Jingle All the Way’ is so important, and so much appreciated.
“To have the support of Q Radio is fantastic as it not only promotes our festive fundraising activities, but the partnership will also raise awareness of the important care services we provide every day not only to those in our Hospice facility but also care for patients in their own home.
“Without the support of the local community and organisations such as Q Radio, we could not provide the care and support that these children and families desperately need. There are lots of ways to get involved with the Jingle and we really encourage people to get involved either by making a donation, attending one of our official events or by hosting a small event of their own with family, friends or colleagues.”
Orla Ross, Agency Sales Director at Q Radio, added: “We are delighted to support the Children’s Hospice Jingle All the Way campaign for the second year running. The campaign is a great opportunity to boost local community spirit across Northern Ireland, whilst raising much needed funds for the Children’s Hospice and the amazing work carried out by its staff”.
“As part of our involvement, we’ll be broadcasting live from the popular Jingle 5k/10K at Stormont Estate on Sunday, 8th December so come along and join in the fun”.
