Singing out for our ‘Shining Little Stars’ at Children’s Hospice
Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice recently had some special visitors, when we welcomed pupils and teachers from Ballywalter Primary School to Horizon House.
The school’s talented choir were recording a video performance of their original song, ‘Shining Little Stars’, which has been specially composed to support our 2024 Little Stars appeal in aid of Children’s Hospice.
The choir were also joined by members of the Children’s Hospice care team and staff, who had been diligently rehearsing their harmonies for the previous week.
The beautiful tune, which was written by teacher Briar Kennedy and her lyricist brother Blair Bailey, featured as part of a UTV Live news bulletin. As well as chatting to Briar, Blair and a couple of the Ballywalter Primary School pupils, the charming news piece also included interviews with our Head of Children’s Services Grace Stewart, and Leah Clark, mum of Sophia whose story was the lead focus for last year’s Little Stars campaign.
