Generous pupils from Willowbridge School, a special school catering for pupils aged 3-19 years based in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, have raised more than £300 for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice by hosting a Jingle Jumper Day as part of the charity’s annual Jingle All the Way Christmas fundraising campaign.

Generous pupils from Willowbridge School, a special school catering for pupils aged 3-19 years  based in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, have raised more than £300 for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice by hosting a Jingle Jumper Day as part of the charity’s annual Jingle All the Way Christmas fundraising campaign.

The school were inspired to fundraise for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice as two of their pupils, Andrew McFarland and Grace McNally, currently receive specialist palliative care at the Children’s Hospice.

Heather Fallis, Regional Fundraiser at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, commented; “It’s fantastic that the pupils and staff from Willowbridge School got behind our annual Jingle All the Way fundraising campaign.  This is an amazing sum of money the school have raised and will go towards the provision of specialist palliative care for infants and children, making a real difference to their lives.

“It makes this fundraiser even more special that both Andrew and Grace who attend our Children’s Hospice are also pupils at this school. Their support means a great deal to everyone at Hospice”.

Bernie Cornyn, Principal at Willowbridge School, added: “Our pupils embraced the fundraising with great enthusiasm and we are delighted to have raised a great amount for such a worthwhile charity. Many of our pupils and their families receive support from Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.  This is a valuable service which supports our pupils and their families and Willowbridge recognises the valuable work the Hospice completes with our pupils and their families”.
